I’m on my journey back to Texas today after spending 3.5 amazing days in Seattle with TONS of amazing photographers. I attended this inspiring retreat created by the amazing Kelly France and the Chic Critique Forum. Let’s just say, this retreat was far more than I could have ever dreamed of. Kelly and her event planners went above and beyond! I learned SO much from EIGHT amazing celebrity photographers. Not only did we take workshops, we also photographed models, rode in limo’s, opened a million gifts (seriously got spoiled!!), ate at amazing restaurants, drank a lot of Starbucks coffee, saw a few Seattle landmarks and shopped. Last night, we dressed up for a fancy dinner followed by another limo ride over to Gas Works park that overlooked the city skyline of Seattle complete with luminaries floating away in the air. It was hard to say goodbye to old friends and new friends alike. I have left this experience with so much inspiration and a whole new set of tools to apply to my business. If you follow me on Instagram or Facebook, your feed was probably blowing up with Seattle photos. 
I couldn’t help myself!!! This trip was so refreshing in so many ways. I love networking with other women/mommies who not only have successful photography businesses but who also share the same passion and love for photography. Here are a few images I took this week…

Last weekend, I had the opportunity to photograph these adorable siblings. Eli & Lexa were so sweet! They had so much fun playing together. Such a cute family!!
How adorable Greysen?!? This cute boy is turning ONE! Mom made this ADORABLE chalkboard sign. Isn’t it such a creative way to document the stages?? Greysen was so happy and full of smiles. LOVED this session!! Thanks Mom and Dad for having me document your family as your baby boy becomes a one year old.

The Mom & Me Mini Sessions and the Flu decided to coincide this year for a few families. I had several people cancel and ended up doing two Mini Sessions. Next year, I’ll be opening up many more spots and I’ll be crossing my fingers that the flu decides to stay away during the Mini Session weekend! I LOVED capturing these sweet kiddos with their Mommy. With Mother’s Day around the corner, these pictures can make a great gift for yourself and grandparents. (Hint hint husbands…you can get a brag book made with her images, have her favorite image made into a gallery canvas or into a necklace!)

What gorgeous mamas and gorgeous kiddos! I guess it’s because I’m a mom myself, but the mom/child images always melt my heart. They’re my favorites!
And like you, I had some of mine cancel their Mommy/Me sessions due to illness. :/ Next year I’m loading my clients up on vitamin c.
